Lesson 3 Time Signature and E Major Chord

ALL ABOUT TIMING

In this lesson, you will learn all about time signature and how to use these time signatures i.e. 2/4, 3/4 and 4/4. Also we will be learning the E Major chord as a nice followup to Lesson 2 about strumming and Em chord.

The 2/4 is mostly used in march or country music. You will find on the video that there's a clapping exercise using 2/4.

The 3/4 time signature is mostly used in waltz music. Although nowadays there's variation to 3/4 which is the 6/8. We will talk more on this in the future.

Last but not the least, the 4/4 time signature which is also called as Common time signature written as capital letter C on the music sheet. It is used in Rock, Reggae, Pop and Standard music.

Here are the chord notation both on TAB format and guitar Chord chart format.
