Chord Arpeggio
In this lesson you will learn the difference between a chord and an arpeggio. A chord is when you strum the notes/strings all together. The arpeggio is when you break the chord or play the chord one note/string at a time.
In this lesson you will learn how to use a plectrum or a pick. You make an OK sign using your index finger and your thumb then slide the plectrum or pick between those two fingers and adjust according to your preference and comfortability on how much tip of the pick you are going to leave out.
Also in this lesson you will learn how to do finger picking or plucking. Usually you use this style if you are a classical guitarist, meaning you are using a nylon string guitar. You use your thumb to pluck the three top strings which are low E, A and D. Then use your index finger for G string, middle finger for B string and ring finger for high E string or the first string of the guitar.
Practise this exercise and get comfortable with it. Start slow but accurate and then build up your speed as you progress.
