Lesson 7 D Major Chord

D Major Chord

We will be learning D Major chord or simply called D. Also D as a shape and techniques on what fingers to use in doing a D chord.

Here's the TAB illustration for D Major chord.

Another bonus in this lesson is the strumming pattern. This is sort of a generic strumming that I use especially if Im not familiar with the song and it's on a 4/4 time signature then I normally try this strumming pattern first until I know what to do with the song.

Keep practising to develop your grip and making sure that ever strings on ever chord that you are playing sound very clean. Also be accurate or precise when changing chords. I know it's a bit tricky when you change chords and its a different chord shape like from D to A to E and back to A. But, all it takes is practise. Start from slow until you get the right speed that you feel comfortable with. During your spare time, just pick up your guitar and strum, practise your minor chords as well... the Dm - Am - E - Am chords pattern. It was from our previous lesson. So check it out. Review and practise. Good luck!
